DOES YOUR CHILD STRUGGLE WITH:

*Sounding out words?

*Spelling accurately?

*Recalling sight words?

*Mispronouncing words?

*Forgetting what's read?

*Naming letters?

*Confusing left & right?

*Reading very slowly?

If your child struggles with these things, he/she may be at risk for dyslexia and the world can seem like a dark, stormy place.  Please allow me to come alongside your child.  I am confident that I can guide your child around the obstacles which impede growth!  I provide structured literacy therapy which stems from the Orton Gillingham approach.  Sessions are explicit, multi-sensory, sequential, and cumulative.  The focus of the remediation is phonics.  However, it may also include other literacy components such as vocabulary, comprehension, morphology, sight words, composition, fluency, and cursive handwriting.  Your child will have a customized therapy plan which is diagnostic and prescriptive with regularly scheduled assessments to determine if we are closing the gaps.  I specialize in serving struggling 4th-8th graders with self-esteem issues who are homeschooled and/or who live in the Eastern time zone.  We are fortunate to be living in a time when children everywhere can get the help they need.  Online tutoring saves travel time and can be done from the comfort of your child's home.  I am confident that your child will improve his/her reading and spelling skills and perhaps even come to love reading.  Please be assured that lightness will come, and a whole new world will open up to your child!

      Thank you for visiting!
